Small, well behaved dogs on short leads are welcome in the museum at the discretion of the duty manager.  At very busy, peak times, or if there are already a number of dogs in the museum, we may occasionally ask you to delay your entry.

Regrettably, due to the open nature and close quarters of our exhibits, we cannot accommodate larger dogs.

We have two wheelchairs available for use free of charge.  If you wish to reserve a wheelchair, please call the museum on 01425 620777.

Our museum is arranged over two levels.  Please be aware that the upper level is accessible via stairs only at present.

In view of this, we offer a reduced entry fee for anyone unable to use the stairs.  The ground floor is completely level/has ramps and holds around 300 vehicles!

We recommend a minimum of 2-3 hours, but most of our visitors spend 4-5 hours with us.  As well as the museum, there are also a number of craft and gift shops on site, as well as a Tearooms.

We do not allow visitors to sit on any of the exhibits.

We are unable to take on work experience placements due to Health & Safety limitations.

Final admission is two hours prior to closing.
